'I wish' .... I could go back and spend one day working at a job from my youth, and it would be a lifeguard at WildWaters Waterpark!
I loved that job! It was seriously the coolest job I've every had. I got to ride waterslides and hangout in the sun. After my first year I got to be a RA (ride attendant) I was that gal that sat at the top. You know the one that says, "Lay down, cross your arms & legs, keep you hands & feet inside the flume at all times and GO!" all in one breath! It was the best rotation because you got to slide down the slide to go to the next ride and would have to do ride checks before the park opened. I worked with my best friend and a group of people that I'm still friends with. One of the guys now manages this park. We used to have after-hours guard parties and would goof of and ride down this (see picture) slide by sitting on a food tray-haha, so not safe!

ReplyDeleteWE LOVE waterparks. That had to be one of the best jobs ever!!! I was dressed up as a big orange golf ball and you were off going down waterslides! :)
ReplyDeleteFun! I always wanted to work at the waterpark- but honestly, I knew I would look awful in the suits they all had to wear. (And it was a really far drive.) :) But jealous- sounds fun!
