miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

[one] i'm not one to complain of heat but man on man was it so hot this past weekend and today (the high is 94), i'm dreading the temperatures in july.

[two] ryan is 5 months old (as of yesterday). he's rolling over now and 'talking' all the time. so crazy how fast time has gone by, it feels like we just brought him home from the hospital.

[three] have you seen extreme couponing? the entire show the only thing going through my head was how do they use all their stockpile before it expires. i mean come on there's no way you could eat 100 bags of chips before they became stale.

miscellany monday: complete randomness

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

rain.
it's been raining since yesterday, it makes the perfect nap weather and i've gladly welcomed it. i swear nothing is more relaxing then a spending a rainy day curled up on the couch watching movies and drifting in and out of sleep. yesterday i took a nap for 4 hours! haha, evidently i needed it. i hope this rainy weather brings us some nice cool temperatures. i would really enjoy some fall weather now that it is officially fall :)

nursery.
never in my life have i been so indecisive on something until we started looking for cribs. seriously, the reviews, the recalls, the ratings, i'm lost. i still can't decide, i keep going between the mainstream brands and specialty stores. anyone have a good recommendations?

over the weekend.
my noles played an awesome game of football... did you miss it? well we shut out the demon deacon's on our home turf, 31-0! i think it's safe to say florida state is back on their way to becoming the football team i grew up with :)

oh and we won't talk about my saints and what happened in overtime...

miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

(one) complaints of the day
my deodorant is not available in stores anymore.

(image via amazon.com)
how does this happen? I'm not sure but why on earth would stores not carry any of the brand, I've looked everywhere, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, and no luck. evidently i can order it on online but who wants to get deodorant in the mail....

(two) shopping for cars sucks.
excuse my language, but it does. we went to look for a new car on saturday, and it's just not fun. the pushy sales people, their crazy questions, oh and on top of that showing us vehicles out of our price range, i still don't get that one especially since we came prepared with what we wanted, the price we wanted, and all that jazz. on top of everything, I'm really sad that i have to give up my precious rsx type-s, i love my little car but a race car is not a safe or practically for baby and baby comes first.

(three) football season
...starts this weekend! i have season tickets to my alma mater and i try not to miss any games. my parents happen to be florida state alumni as well so i've been going to games for most of my life.
(that's me on the top left in the early '90s)
GO NOLES
one downfall to being pregnant is the heat, the game this saturday is at 12:30 and it's been ridiculously hot here so i'm not sure how long i'll last out there.

miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

[1] In less than 13 weeks, we will be welcoming our new baby. Is it just me or does anyone else think that's just crazy!?! Besides the usual pregnancy mood swings, I'm freaking out because our poor baby doesn't have a nursery yet, it's still my office/guest room/storage/random place to hide things from company room. I had this great bedding set I found and was going to base the room off that, then I find out it's sold out and now discontinued... err shame on you Pottery Barn!

[2] This weekend I feel in love with the Mr Clean (or Mr Nice Guy, as Adam calls him) Magic Eraser. I kept seeing that commercial when the spray bottle talks about Mr Clean and his shine and wondered if it worked. Well OMG yes it did! I swear I have never been so amazed and shocked at how dirty the area by the handle on my doors was. Yes, it's the little things that make my day!
((Mr Clean doesn't know I'm such a big fan, but if they want to send me some Magic Erasers I would be willing to put them to good use))

[3] Could someone get a note to the sun and tell it to turn down the heat! I'm over these 100+ degree weather... I am so ready for fall weather (and FLORIDA STATE football, of course!)

and lastly....

[4] We can't agree on a boy name, and the ultrasound tech was almost positive we are having a boy. This could be a big problem.

Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would join in Carissa's Miscellany Monday, and I think you should join in the fun!

{ONE} I hate looking for a new home... seriously I think it's the worst thing ever. We're trying to find a bigger place and most leases here start in August because it's a college town, but I'm not finding that many non-college area homes available. It's driving me crazy!

{TWO}  Yesterday Bentley go on a walk, by himself... (my way of saying he got out of our backyard). Evidently he was just visiting his friend next door, a huge bloodhound, we have such sweet neighbors they didn't mind and let us know he was there, then sent him home 15 minutes later. I think he was jealous that my friend Emma had brought over Troy the Yorkie to play with Gracie the day before and he wasn't allowed to join them because he's too big. I swear dogs can be just like people.

{THREE} Where has summer gone, it's already mid-July... I've come to the conclusion that once your out of college for a couple years that summers don't really exist anymore and they just fly by like the rest of the year. Which so isn't cool... I need another vacation to get my mind off this awful discovery.

{FOUR} I have a secret and sometime this week when you are least expecting it I will let yall know. But if you happen to guess what it is, I will give you an two extra entries in this giveaway I'm hosting.

miscellany monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

(1) I went through my shoes on Saturday. I was quite shocked when I laid out every shoe on the floor to see what all was in my closet. Half the shoes I never wear anymore, I'm secretly a pack rat. However, I bit the bullet and tossed about 1/3 of my shoes into a garage sale/giveaway pile. I now have a nice and organized shoe area in my closet. Man, it feels good to be organized! Now I just have to tackle my clothes, esp those that are hiding in the farthest area of the closet.

(2) We went to Barnes and Noble after dinner one night this weekend and had a lot of fun browsing through books. It was hard to pick just two books but I can't wait to get started on the ones I ended up with.

(3) It's been so hot this weekend that it wasn't remotely enjoyable to be outside, and today isn't any better. This summer is for sure to be a hot one and I'm not looking forward to it.

(4) My birthday is next weekend, June 20th, and I still have no big plans and that's perfectly fine with me since we're having a big 4th of July shindig at the beach that's gonna last a week that I'm stoked about!

(5) I'm thinking about a career change, or should I say job change since my current job isn't a career thing exactly... ohh decisions. I guess I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up haha.

Join in the randomness over at Carissa's blog and be sure to congratulate her on her adorable new baby girl!
