8x8: Graduation

I was tagged by Krystal to play along in this fun game.
Here's what you do:
1. Go to your photos files and select the 8th photo folder.
2. Select the 8th photo in that folder.
3. Post that photo along with the story behind it.
4. Then challenge 8 blogging friends to do the same.

Since my pictures are everywhere, (work computer and laptop) I decided to use my Facebook albums since that's where they all end up anyways. I went from most recent and counted back to 8 then found picture #8 which is...

Me and Bobby (well the Bobby Bowden statue at the Stadium)

I can't believe it's been over a year since I graduated from undergrad, time really does fly. My graduation was perfect, nice and early so we had time for a graduation lunch and then took pictures all around the campus. I am proud to stay I did graduate in 4 years, even though it took some hard work and dedication after some crazy freshman and sophomore (they def know how to party here) it was totally worth it.

I'm gonna tag...
Mayra at In Lovely Heels
Alissa at Newlywedded; Life, Love and Me
Jessica at Viva la Vida
Lindsey at Lovin My Life
Lisa Anne at Smell the Coffee Lisa
Jenn at Our Little Nest on the Coast
Katie at This is Katie
Nadine at Its the Little Things

Can I have one of each... no? Umm okay girls night out, it's been awhile since we were all reunited!

Ummm let me check... just the bottom of it. (don't even tell me you didn't just try it)
3. What is your favorite flower and why?
Orchids, they are just so pretty and delicate, plus they smell good!
4. If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself?
Don't put up with stuff you don't have to, remember you can walk away from any bad relationship. Oh and put your girls first, they are the ones that will be there in the end.

Take my entire family on a fun trip to somewhere tropical to celebrate! Then pay off everyone's debts and by myself a new house by the beach.

Here's the rules, copy the questions and answer them on your blog then link back up over at Mama M's place and check out everyone elses answers!

Questions for Friday, May 7th:

1. What is your worst memory of your siblings?
Umm.. I don't really have a bad memory with my brother, exept when we would fight with each other. My mom bought us boxing gloves so we could duke it out haha.
2. What was YOUR naughtiest childhood memory? (Must be something YOU did, no pawning it off on someone else!)
Why is that you normally can recall things but once it's on the spot you just can't remember.... if I can remember something I'll come back and fill it in.
3. Where do you like to go to relax?
the beach, or the bath (nothing like a bubble bath, a good book, and a glass of wine)
4. What was the last thing you won?
I won a giveaway on a blog for some yogurt! yum!
5. If you could be on a game show, which would you choose?
Wipeout! Do they still have that? I think it would be so fun! :)
If not that I would go with the classic, the Wheel of course

Wishful Wednesday!

It's Wishful Wednesday again over at The Seatle Smith's

'I wish' .... I could go back and spend one day working at a job from my youth, and it would be a lifeguard at WildWaters Waterpark!

I loved that job! It was seriously the coolest job I've every had. I got to ride waterslides and hangout in the sun. After my first year I got to be a RA (ride attendant) I was that gal that sat at the top. You know the one that says, "Lay down, cross your arms & legs, keep you hands & feet inside the flume at all times and GO!" all in one breath! It was the best rotation because you got to slide down the slide to go to the next ride and would have to do ride checks before the park opened. I worked with my best friend and a group of people that I'm still friends with. One of the guys now manages this park. We used to have after-hours guard parties and would goof of and ride down this (see picture) slide by sitting on a food tray-haha, so not safe!

I love waterparks, and working at one was the best experience. I'm a better swimmer because of all the trainning we did, and still CPR/AED certified (I even have my First-Aid hip pack still with the breathing apparatus). I will tell you that because of this, I can beat anyone down those slides you race the other people... the key is to arch your back! :)

What job will you never forget, good or bad, and tell us why! Remember to link up at Kelsey's

Five Question Friday: April 23rd

Time for 5QF! Here's the rules, copy the questions and answer them on your blog then link back up over at Mama M's place and check out everyone elses answers!

Questions for Friday, April 23rd:

1. What was the first car you owned?
96 Saturn SC2-twincam, I have a picture somewhere
(when I get home from work I'll post it)
She was a pretty little fast thing! :) But she was in my parent's name even though I was the only one who drove her, so was my Mustang I had in college. I guess my Acura is the first car I've owned if you wanna be specific, and I made all the negoiations by myself  :)

2. What song are you embarrassed to know the lyrics to?

3. Have you ever had stitches?
nope, but probably needed them a few times.

4. What was your first job?
Lifeguard at a waterpark for 3 summers. Best job ever! When I was there we had American Flag bathing suits, I remember drunk guys coming up and saying the pledge to me. I still have them in a box at my parent's house and my rescue pack. This is a current picture, they re-did the park and some of the rides that were my favorite were removed because they were too dangerous. Haha Those were the days :)

 5. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character?
Count Von Count :) I remember him from when I was younger.

Wishful Wednesday

It's Wishful Wednesday again over at The Seatle Smith's

'I wish' .... I could re-live one Easter memory from my childhood, and it would be anytime we got to hunt eggs!

I loved looking for Easter eggs, when we would go visit my grandparents and they would be all over their backyard. When would stay in town we would get all dressed up for Easter and take pictures by this cross in the church courtyard where you could put flowers in it (we still do that) and then afterwards they would have a giant Easter egg hunt for all the kids all over the church yard and Sunday School buildings. I had a bf in high school whose family was big on Easter egg hunting, it was an event. They had hundreds of eggs and great prizes inside. It was fun so much fun! :)

I still decorate eggs with my mom and "the Easter bunny" still leaves us goodies in our baskets to this day, I know we're dorks, but it's a fun tradition we just can't seem to let go.  :)

What Easter memory would you like to experience again??

Five Question Friday: March 26th

DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?
Tool Time...? um no, but Mama M is proud to present...
My Little Life
I know you wanna play along, I promise it's a lot of fun! Just copy and paste the following questions on your blog and answer them. Then head on over to Mama M.'s to link up with everyone else!

Questions for Friday, March 26th:

1. Did you pass your driver's test on the first try?
Yep, I took driver's-ed over the summer and our teacher was some football coach at another school, he was so much fun. We would drive to Arby's or Wendy's and get a snack then switch drivers. Never had to parallel park, evidently it's not required anymore in Florida. Which is super strange because almost any beach has parallel parking... Our class finished the day before my 16th birthday so all I had to do is go hand the guy my slip and take a picture :) A
2. What is your most embarrassing moment?
This one is easy, I played softball sophomore year in high school for the JV team. I had played in middle school one season, but grew up with the boys in my family playing baseball so I knew what I was doing (or so I thought). I was up to bat at for the a couple innings into the game, I guess I wasn't paying attention because right before it was my turn they had switched pitchers. Here I am, all ready to go and I see the first pitch, I had a base hit to third, well I started running and realized nobody was moving. I slowed down to realize that I had hit the ball on a practice pitch, and it didn't even count. I was super embarrased and of course my friends couldn't stop talking or laughing about it.
3. What TV show would you like to be on- Oprah, Biggest Loser, or What Not to Wear?
What Not to Wear, I would love a waredrobe makeover and a new hair style. Plus did you see my post yesterday? I'm sure they would help me get rid of all those old clothes hanging out in my closet!
4. Would you ever get plastic surgery and what kind?
I always wanted to fix my nose, its a tad crooked from a fight with a hallway or doorframe, but now I'm kinda fine with how I am :)
5. What are your favorite jeans to wear?
Serfontaine, I've had two pairs from when a boutique store in my hometown carried them. One is 5 years old and still looks brand new! They are kinda pricey but so worth it. My backup brand is Guess? because you can't go wrong. I've been rocking Guess Jeans my whole life, I've seen pictures-haha.

That's all folks, now it's your turn! I wanna see your answers :)

Five Question Friday
My Little Life
I know you wanna play along... all you have to do is copy and paste the following questions on your blog and answer them. Then head on over to Mama M.'s to link up with everyone else! I promise it's really fun and you get to know some new people's deepest darkest secrets, okay well maybe not but you do get to meet some new friends, and who doesn't LOVE friends!
Questions for Friday, 3/19/10
(Thanks to Ann, Lula Lola, Pam, Robin, and Lily for coming up with them)
1. Have you ever had a celeb sighting?
John Travolta lives in my hometown so there's sightings of him often. Then the tall guy/Ray's brother in Everybody Loves Raymond was in the elevator of Tiffany's in NYC with me once, but I didn't realize it until he got off. Oh and I grew up with the drummer in Fireflight, he went to our church and our parents are friends. I never realized it really was him until his brother and sister-in-law told me he got them backstage tickets to Third Day-haha. I knew he was in a band but it didn't dawn on me that he was in a famous band... whoops
2. What temperature do you keep your house?
72 is my perfect temperature but I usually have the air off and windows open if it's nice out.
3. Do you notice dust at other peoples homes?
Yes but only because I'm a clean freak and it bothers me. I won't point it out to you though.
4. What's the worst job you ever had?
I've never had a bad job (yet), I was a lifeguard in high school and a runner for a lobbyist all through college, and now I work for that lobbyist.
5. What is your most sentimental possession?
I have a bear that my grandma, Gie (on my dad's side) gave me when I was born. His name is Bear (previously known as Bear Bear & Beary). He's really old and has a crochet necklace on that I made one day when Gie was teaching me. I miss her, she passed away when I was 13, and Bear reminds me of her. He sits on top of a really telephone table(it's some antique that was at my great-grandma's house) near my bed.
