Wishful Wednesday... Careers

This week's topic is:
'I wish' .... I had the opportunity to change careers and it would be to a professional organizer/designer

I'm not a big fan of my job because that's what it is a job, it's not intended to be permanent, just something to figure out what I really want to do. If I could do anything I would love to be an all-in-one home designer (organization, redesign, and interior/exterior design). I love the fact that I can 'see' how a potential area can be restructured to a new and better purpose.

It would be awesome to turn rooms like this:
(via google images)

into rooms like this:
(via here)

I would love to be a decorator/organizer/re-designer! I think it would be very rewarding and a great way to use all my creative energy. (And benefit from all those hours watching HGTV, haha).
Hopefully one day this dream will come true! :)
What would you like to do?

Wishful Wednesday... Bedrooms

'I wish' .... I Could Come Home to This Bedroom Every Night!
This was such a fun topic, even though it took a lot of searching to find a picture close to what I wanted. My dream bedroom is spacious, comfy, romantic, with a southern-coastal twist.
I love this bedding:
With this reading area and a makeup alcove like this:
I LOVE Tiffany Blue/Turquoise with white furniture along with mirrored and crystal accents.

Wishful Wednesday

'I wish' .... I was fluent in another language in addition to English, and it would be Moroccan Arabic!

This was really easy for me since Adam's Moroccan and speaks Moroccan. I hate that my conversations with his family are very limited and I wish I could speak Moroccan and talk to his mom. We both try really hard to talk with each other over the phone (she's in Casablanca) but sometimes we just can't understand each other and it would be nice to actually have a conversation when she comes to visit. It also would help just to know another language that I hear everyday. I mean I know some words and sentances but most of the time I have no idea, especially when he talks to friends or family that is here, their conversations are a mix of French, Moroccan, English, and Arabic, I have no idea how they do it. Maybe one day I will finally know enough Moroccan to speak more than, "hey, how are you?" and "the weather is nice today" -haha.

What language would you like to speak?

Wishful Wednesday!

It's Wishful Wednesday again over at The Seatle Smith's

'I wish' .... I could go back and spend one day working at a job from my youth, and it would be a lifeguard at WildWaters Waterpark!

I loved that job! It was seriously the coolest job I've every had. I got to ride waterslides and hangout in the sun. After my first year I got to be a RA (ride attendant) I was that gal that sat at the top. You know the one that says, "Lay down, cross your arms & legs, keep you hands & feet inside the flume at all times and GO!" all in one breath! It was the best rotation because you got to slide down the slide to go to the next ride and would have to do ride checks before the park opened. I worked with my best friend and a group of people that I'm still friends with. One of the guys now manages this park. We used to have after-hours guard parties and would goof of and ride down this (see picture) slide by sitting on a food tray-haha, so not safe!

I love waterparks, and working at one was the best experience. I'm a better swimmer because of all the trainning we did, and still CPR/AED certified (I even have my First-Aid hip pack still with the breathing apparatus). I will tell you that because of this, I can beat anyone down those slides you race the other people... the key is to arch your back! :)

What job will you never forget, good or bad, and tell us why! Remember to link up at Kelsey's

Wishful Wednesday

It's time again for Wishful Wednesday over at The Seattle Smith's

This week's topic is:

I wish' .... I had the willpower to
stay on one particular diet,
and it would be the Mediterranean Diet!

This is more of a lifestyle change than a diet and it has everything I love to eat! Here's the 10 Principles.

According to The Mediterranean Diet Foundation: "The Mediterranean Diet is characterized by abundant plant-origin foods such as bread, pasta, rice, vegetables, legumes, fruits and nuts; the use of olive oil as the main source of additional fat, moderate consumption of fish, seafood, poultry, dairy products (yogurt, cheese) and eggs, as well as small amounts of red meat and a daily moderate intake of wine generally at meals. Its importance to the health of individuals is not limited to the fact that it is a balanced diet with a varied and adequate supply of macronutrients. To the benefits of its low content of saturated fatty acids and high content in monounsaturated fatty acids and in complex carbohydrates and fibre, we must add the wealth derived from its antioxidant substances."

Sounds amazing to me, but the only downside is no fast food and limited sweets but maybe that's a good thing. Adam's grandma is getting into her 90s and she's been on this 'diet' her whole life, she's really active and you would have no idea how old she was by looking at her. Evidently it's big in Morocco... maybe we should start it....

What diet do you wish you could stick to? Head on over to Kelsey's to link up with your answers!

Wishful Wednesday

It's Wishful Wednesday again over at The Seatle Smith's

'I wish' .... I could re-live one Easter memory from my childhood, and it would be anytime we got to hunt eggs!

I loved looking for Easter eggs, when we would go visit my grandparents and they would be all over their backyard. When would stay in town we would get all dressed up for Easter and take pictures by this cross in the church courtyard where you could put flowers in it (we still do that) and then afterwards they would have a giant Easter egg hunt for all the kids all over the church yard and Sunday School buildings. I had a bf in high school whose family was big on Easter egg hunting, it was an event. They had hundreds of eggs and great prizes inside. It was fun so much fun! :)

I still decorate eggs with my mom and "the Easter bunny" still leaves us goodies in our baskets to this day, I know we're dorks, but it's a fun tradition we just can't seem to let go.  :)

What Easter memory would you like to experience again??

Wishful Wednesday

It's that time again, Kelsey just posted this week's Wishful Wednesday topic:

If money grew on trees, I hit the jackpot at the slots, or won the lottery...

I would love love love to have this beautiful Balenciaga purse.

It's only $$2,045

or if that can't be arranged, I'll settle for this Yves Saint Laurent bag.

You can purchase the Medium Downtown Buffalo for the low, low, low price of $1,695

hey, a girl can dream -or in this case wish! :)

If you could have any purse, no matter what the price, what would you pick?

Wishful Wednesday

This is my first time ever participating in "Wishful Wednesday" so here it goes...

Today's Question:

'I wish' .... I could win the lottery REAL soon, and I would hope to __________!
Would you keep working or QUIT your job?

This is easy, quit my job and start my own business! I would love to own a specialty shop with home decor and custom gifts, and maybe even a small cafe/diner next door! I would also pay off my two credit cards and Acura, then buy a black Range Rover and build a cute house near the beach.

So... on that note, what would you do?

Head over to The Seattle Smiths to link up with your answer and check out what everyone else had to say!

"... I will seek You in the morning, and I will learn to walk in Your ways.
And step by step You'll lead me, and I will follow You all of my days."
