Top 3 Thursdays: Quirks

Top Three Thursdays
Is this fun little blog carnival that Confessions from a Working Mom & The (Un)Experienced Mom host each Thursday. Join in and play along! :)

Today's question is:
What are your Top 3 quirks?

3) Checking to Make Sure I Really Lock the Front Door
I lock the door, but once I'm in my car I stop and go check to make sure I really did lock it. Grant it I never take my keys out of the ignition so I guess subconciously I know I do lock it, but I still will do it. I had gotten alot better until our front door decided it doesn't want to stay closed when you just lock the bottom, something to do with the frame becoming warped because of all this stupid rain.

2) Talking Way Too Fast When I'm Excited About Something
If I have something to share that I think is really exciting or just random news. I talk fast and I mean fast. I often get told to slow down or calm down. My family has told me this for years and I just thought they were crazy but now that other people or people I don't even know (I've been caught doing it when ordering something over the phone) tell me, I think I have a problem haha. I guess I try to say everything that I'm thinking and get too caught up in it. I assume this is why I type really fast as well, but that's a good thing I think :)

1) Everything MUST Be in It's Place
I can't even think about going to sleep or leaving the house if everything isn't where it belongs. That doesn't mean my house is spotless just that everything must be in it's 'home'. I'm talking dishes put up, dog toys in the basket, the pillows on the couch (different pillows belong on specific couches), chairs all pushed in, nothing extra on the bathroom or kitchen counters, no shampoo on the side of the tube (it's gotta be in the caddy), coats in the coat closet... you get the idea, I have baskets for everything.

  1. Oh my gosh I do the door thingy too! Also sometimes when I get in my car and I am ready to drive off...I check to make sure no child is outside my car hanging from the door or bumper...quirky I know, but I just have these visions of driving off with a kid attatched to a door handle or the back bumper...okay so now you know I'm a weirdy but hey I don't mind..love your top 3. Have a great day!

  2. Oh my gosh, I'm the same way with the door-locking. Actually, with a lot of things. I'm a "check and re-check" person.

  3. I am always triple-checking to see if I unplugged the curling iron/straightener. And if the oven is off. I guess I have a compulsive fear of burning something down? ;)

  5. As I read through everyone's quirks, I realize that this would have had to have been top 2939492 Thursday in order for me to express all my quirks. I have a ton.

I identify with you on the "Everything in its place" quirk. I must put my daughter's toys away in the exact same way every night or I just can't relax!

  7. I talk too fast when I am excited about things too. SO funny - I have been checking out everyone's post and find a little of myself in each one. :) Thanks for sharing!

  8. I talk a lot and fast when I am excited, too. But I talk a lot anyhow! ;-)
