Fall Fashion

I'm beyond ready for the fall weather, it's still in the 90s here! Yuck!

I love wearing cute jackets and coats!

And yes, I still rock the Uggs, so comfy and warm :)

Maternity Fashion Controversy

I recently saw on the news that Forever 21 has launched a maternity line that's available online and in a few states...which don't happen to include any near me- [insert sad face here], and it's actually really cute.

But it's started some controversy saying that it's target audience is pregnant teens...

Many parents have been quoted stating that it's not something they want to see in stores. However, my favorite quote though has to be this: "Based on the research I know, I don't think girls get pregnant so they can wear cute clothes," said Steven Kirn, executive director of the David F. Miller Retailing Education and Research Center at the University of Florida. (quote from here) And I have to agree!

So, what do you think? Personally I welcome any affordable maternity line that is actually cute and fits me right! I'm not a teen, I'm a married pregnant woman in my mid-20s and in my opinion this line is targeting my demographics :) And on that note, I'm going to order me this:

however I won't be wearing heels with it, kinda unrealistic for this pregnant gal! :)

Top 3 Thursday: Stores

 Brought to you by Elizabeth and The (Un)Experienced Mom  Where are your Top 3 favorite places to shop? 3) ONLINE There's a lot of stores I love that aren't in my town or I'm just too busy to make it to the mall and my one way to shop is online. I love hitting up JCrew, Sephora, Forever 21 (their stores are too messy and unorganized but there website is way easier plus they are good about returns), Express, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and even Etsy. 2) TJ MaxxTJ Maxx is only three redlights from my house and it's a well managed and organized store. I love what great finds that are avalible that you have to search for. The clearance aisles are your best friends, I got a really nice candle holder for the mantle that had a scratch on the corner and I got it for half off. The scratch wasn't even a scratch but a mark that came off with some greenworks, so you never know. 1) Tar-jay!I love that store, have been a huge fan most of my life. My mom's a loyal Target shopper and it has rubbed off on me. They have the cutest clothes and houseware items plus everything in between. I recently got new bedding from there and I couldn't be happier with the quality! What are your favorite stores?

COUPONING!

I did a trial run the other day. When it was nice outside I laid out all my coupons (some from other Sunday's) and all the ads for this week. I took a sheet of paper to write down which matched the sales. I know there are websites that do this for us but they don't always have the same sales in my area, our stores are picky I guess haha. Well on my first try I spent $8.07 on about $30 worth of random toiletries at Wal-Mart and at Publix I spent $21.49 on almost $60 of groceries! I think that I was very successful and a lot of fun but my little 3x5 coupon accordion folder thing just isn't practical... I wonder if a binder with those plastic baseball card sleeves would work better... any suggestions? Oh and if you coupon I would love some helpful tips! :)

Questions for Friday, March 26th:

1. Did you pass your driver's test on the first try?
Yep, I took driver's-ed over the summer and our teacher was some football coach at another school, he was so much fun. We would drive to Arby's or Wendy's and get a snack then switch drivers. Never had to parallel park, evidently it's not required anymore in Florida. Which is super strange because almost any beach has parallel parking... Our class finished the day before my 16th birthday so all I had to do is go hand the guy my slip and take a picture :) A
2. What is your most embarrassing moment?
This one is easy, I played softball sophomore year in high school for the JV team. I had played in middle school one season, but grew up with the boys in my family playing baseball so I knew what I was doing (or so I thought). I was up to bat at for the a couple innings into the game, I guess I wasn't paying attention because right before it was my turn they had switched pitchers. Here I am, all ready to go and I see the first pitch, I had a base hit to third, well I started running and realized nobody was moving. I slowed down to realize that I had hit the ball on a practice pitch, and it didn't even count. I was super embarrased and of course my friends couldn't stop talking or laughing about it.
3. What TV show would you like to be on- Oprah, Biggest Loser, or What Not to Wear?
What Not to Wear, I would love a waredrobe makeover and a new hair style. Plus did you see my post yesterday? I'm sure they would help me get rid of all those old clothes hanging out in my closet!
4. Would you ever get plastic surgery and what kind?
I always wanted to fix my nose, its a tad crooked from a fight with a hallway or doorframe, but now I'm kinda fine with how I am :)
5. What are your favorite jeans to wear?
Serfontaine, I've had two pairs from when a boutique store in my hometown carried them. One is 5 years old and still looks brand new! They are kinda pricey but so worth it. My backup brand is Guess? because you can't go wrong. I've been rocking Guess Jeans my whole life, I've seen pictures-haha.
